A paradigm for the species, it has gemlike rhombohedral crystals with an intense, fire-engine red color. The vibrant rhodochrosite is beautifully contrasted by a matrix of quartz and gunmetal-toned sphalerite. With its vibrant color, impeccable crystal morphology, and perfect arrangement, The Snow Cone is considered by many to be the greatest crystal specimen in the world.
