Aquamarine & Quartz

Brazil

This striking Brazilian aquamarine crystal consists of a sharp hexagonal prism with well-defined terminations and broad, smooth faces. Its form has a level of precision more commonly associated with Pakistani material, where crystals are prized for their textbook, gem-like geometry.

At the same time, the color and clarity align with the best examples of Brazil, which are known for their depth of color and transparency, despite often being affected by etching from natural dissolution. Here, the crystal displays a richly saturated blue, deeper than typically seen in Pakistani examples, along with strong transparency. In this case, the crystal retains clarity, form, and vivid color, combining the best of both worlds.

A small quartz crystal is naturally attached along one side, adding contrast without distracting from the main crystal. In all, it is a refined and harmonious example that bridges two of the most celebrated aquamarine localities in a single, compelling piece.
